Giddy-Up HORSEY!

Brandon's cousin had a Birthday at Texas Roadhouse the other night. Wyatt was in love with the horse ride. I just had to post a bunch of pictures because his facial expressions were so entertaining! We never even turned the ride on, he was just thrilled to sit on it. He was so excited about that thing, and he looks SO GROWN UP, like a little boy--where did our little baby go?!

Look at his face in this one HAHA, YeeHaw!
What an interesting thought he must be having!

Kansas

After our trip to Wichita Falls, we headed up to visit the farm in Kansas.

We were able to help harvest much of Grandpa's winter squash. I love this stuff, it makes the best pie (tastes just like pumpkin). I wouldn't mind a slice after each and every meal.
(yes, I know you love my outfit--didn't you know the best squash is when it's picked in your pajamas?)

We also were able to attend a farm auction. I have never been to a real live auction and this one was just that. Almost everything they sold was live. They had everything from horses to turtle doves. It was a fun time. We learned a lot about animals, the market is certainly not booming like it used to be. They had a horse that sold for $2. Yes, a real horse, a BROKEN horse. If we knew what to do with it we surely would have bought a $2 horse!

Wyatt loved all the animals. He wanted to touch, taste and feel everything in sight. He didn't however like the loud sqweeking the ducks would do. Loud noises really concern him ;{

While we were there the weather was very damp and rainy, I think pretty rare for the farm. But, it was so beautiful that way. The back yard looked like it was just flourishing. Almost like a painting. All of God's creations certainly are a wonder.

(I took this out the kitchen window.)

Wyatt got lots of attention from great grandma and all the aunts, he even got a bath in the kitchen sink!

We had a great time and can't wait until we can go back!!

Wichita Falls, Texas

Brandon had some tests at the beginning of October in Wichita Falls, TX. Brandon stayed busy at the Air Force Base taking the CTD exam while Wyatt and I hung out in the hotel. It was a nice little break and we're SO excited to say Brandon passed 2 of the 3 tests, we are still waiting to hear from the third.

This is how WE do it.

Well I never thought I would have Texas pride.......well......i'm changing. In many more ways than one. But this was pretty impressive. We went to the Waller (our local high school) football game to watch some kids I teach. This was opening night of the Waller High School Stadium and opening football season game. Yes, this is a HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL staduim. Yes. High school. The city population of Waller is 2,300 and the Waller Independent School District serves a population of approximately 30,000.
This stadium seats 10,000 people. It cost 19 million to build. It's astroturf! What in the WORLD? Let me add this is out in the country!
I felt like I was at the staduim of fire~they had fireworks during half time and a fireworks show after the game they also had 4 planes flew over and dropped smoke. This was unreal for high school. Oh yea, and all pretty much all the seats were filled. (remember that's 10,000) Go Waller!

6 months

Wyatt is getting so big! He is rolling all around and I think will very soon be crawling. He has started some new "tricks" he can hold his bottle all by himself-how nice! We've started him on baby food and he LOVES it! Brandon loves to feed him because they get to make a mess together. Wyatt is getting such a little personality, he loves to wrestle and likes attention. He also loves to sleep and take up our whole bed! He is our little bundle of joy~

He lost his binky during nap time one day and this is what I found!

Wyatt's Blessing

Wow, where have we been for the last month?! Not blogging! ;)

We've been so busy getting all settled in. We are LOVING our new house and are overwhelmed each and every day that we have a place of our own. We've added some new additions to the family: Cheeto & Koda, our two new kitty's and our new dog Sonny. Sonny came from Brandon's grandparents on the farm in Kansas. Grandpa Jarvis decided he being 81 years old, and Sonny being only one year, that's 80 years difference...it was time for Sonny to go to some younger folks! We are so happy to have him! And we think he likes it here too.

We've also been busy with lots of projects around the house, painting, bathroom remodel, unpacking boxes and unpacking more boxes...whew I hope they end soon! My family was also able to visit and help us get settled in. What an absolute joy it was to have them help. I am already planning the next trip for them to come back! I will be posting lots of pictures in the future. But for now,

We finally were able to bless Wyatt!! Just under six months, but he is now blessed! Here are some pictures of the special day. We had lots of family able to come and are so grateful for EACH one of them. We also had to speak in church that morning so it was quite a busy day! We love you baby Wyatt!

Lake Somerville

We went to lake the other night and what an experience it was. It was Wyatt's first time on the boat and on a lake. He loved it! He couldn't stop jerking his head around looking all over and making loud noises! Brandon then introduced me to him and his cousins new hobby-BOW fishing. It is quite tense and tons of fun! As we were spotlighting the fish, we raised the light up on the land in front of us and there was about 30 wild hogs! CRAZY~! And what does Brandon do?! Hops out of the boat, runs through the water and starts CHASING them! Then, I shined the light in the boat several times checking on Wyatt sleeping in his car seat and what did I see!?? ROACHES! Right as it was dark outside several LARGE roaches were crawling all around our snacks. EWWW I think I have permanent heeby geebys. I grabbed Wyatt and jumped out of the boat as soon as we hit the dock. As I was waiting for Brandon to load the boat I was gazing off at the stars thinking how beautiful and how many there were....I then looked behind me and about 5 feet away was an armadillo! And what does Brandon do?! Hops out of the truck and starts CHASING IT! AHH haha!! I've married a wild man! Quite a night.

(That little tiny speck of light is a reflection off one of the wild hogs eyes.)
